VMT - Your Personal Travel Companion
VMT is a free Android application by HaCon Ingenieurges. mbH that serves as a personal travel companion for those traveling via bus, train or tram in the Verkehrsverbund Mittelthüringen (VMT) region. The app offers an integrated ticket purchase feature, with real-time data on delays available when provided by the transport operator.
The app also features a kartenbasierte (map-based) pedestrian navigation system that is address-specific, and a GPS-based location search that determines the best possible connection (stop, departure time). The app provides a stop overview with arrival and departure times, as well as an environment map. Furthermore, the app offers a direct ticket purchase feature within the "Route Planner" and displays the purchased ticket in the "Ticket Overview" section.
VMT app has a "Favourites" feature that allows users to store frequently used destinations and offers a "Take me Home" function. Users can also transfer travel information to their calendar or share it with friends. The app features an OpenStreetMap-based map and displays points of interest (POI) for users. Additionally, it provides a map-based representation of car-sharing locations and allows users to select them as a starting or destination point.
